One of the great things about a Canterbury Conservatory is the amount of creative
freedom you enjoy when planning it. Once you’ve opted for your preferred style you
can then tailor a number of other design features to create a room that’s perfect for
you, your family and your lifestyle. These features include faux-wood finishes such
as Provincial Oak, Mahogany, or Rose Wood, and decorative glass detailing such
as Gothic or Prairie-style grids. The windows and doors on your Canterbury
Conservatory are also flexible allowing for endless variations of fixed windows,
transoms, ventilated units, and doors.
If all of this sounds a bit overwhelming you need not worry! Each of Canterbury’s design professionals are trained to make the design process
easy with our exclusive PlanRight™ Software, the most advanced sunroom planning software in our industry.
We can show you three-dimensional
images of your conservatory within a matter of seconds, allowing you to insure your dream looks just as good in reality.
White is the color most frequently associated with conservatories, but with Canterbury the choices go much beyond just white. You can also opt for
one
of our faux-wood finishes in Provincial Oak, Mahogany or Rosewood. The wood grain finish has the aesthetic appeal of a fine hardwood but
without the
associated maintenance requirements – such as the need for regular painting or staining. In addition we offer exterior finishes in an
endless array of
colors, allowing for a Canterbury conservatory that is unique to your home.

For the perfect finishing touch to your new conservatory, Canterbury offers two decorative crown finishes. Each is available in white or faux-wood,
and includes an attractive rosette corner trim.

Roof Elements
The cresting (the ornamental detailing along the ridge) and the finial (the detail at the end of the ridge) are the trademarks of any fine conservatory.
Each of these elements is optional, and each affects the overall feel of the conservatory design. Omitting them altogether will leave your conservatory
with a more contemporary vibe, or you may elect to eliminate only the cresting for greater emphasis on the stately finial.
