The roof system is the single most important element in any conservatory. It is the
first line of defense against the elements, protecting not only the conservatory
interior, but the foundation, windows and doors as well.
To ensure this
indispensable system is installed properly every time, all the
technicans at
Canterbury Conservatories undergo a rigorous in-house certification process
followed by extensive on-site trianing and "experience building" to make
sure they
know all facets of our roof system inside and out.
As always, a wide variety of glazing and glass options as well as a selection of finishing materials and colors guarantee a conservatory that is uniquely yours.

A roof for the ages
The conservatory roof system implemented by Canterbury Conservatories is comprised of the same heavy duty materials that go into the conservatory's structural elements; an aluminum backbone for light-weight strength and stability, PVC-u for the first layer of insulation, added rigidity and strength and a secondary layer of insulation purely for interior comfort. Each support beam is fabricated to join perfectly into the existing structure as well as recieve the glass, which comprises a majority of the roof surface. Canterbury's patented component linkage system makes installation a breeze for trained installers and practically maintenance-free for the owner.
Often times, construction restrictions start with the roof. For many companies complex angles, soft curves and unique shapes proove an unscalable barrier to construction which severly limits the range of conservatory shapes and applications. This is not the case at Canterbury Conservatories because we fabricate all our own parts; to Canterbury, there is no such thing as a non-standard component.
Whether you choose from our Celsius performance glass or one of our polycarbonate glazing alternatives, the roof of your conservatory will serve you well for years to come.
